Safety Marine Australia Pty. Ltd. (SMA) commenced operations in 1991 with a dedicated team highly experienced in the marine & aviation sectors in which we operate.

We manufacture the following products in Melbourne, Australia:-

• CASA approved aviation inflatable lifejackets for passenger, pilot (helicopter) and crewmen use;

• Marine Board approved coastal closed cells foam lifejackets;
• Australian Standards approvedPersonal Flotation Devices (Types 1, 2 & 3).
• Coastal Marine Inflatable Life rafts from 4 to 25 persons life rafts;
• Coastal Marine Open Reversible Inflatable Life rafts from 4 to 25 persons life rafts;
• Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approved aviation life rafts from 4 to 11 person life rafts;
• Single man inflatable life rafts;
• Sailing/yachting Harnesses & Roaring Forties 3 Hook Elasticated Tether lines;
• Personal Safety Dan Buoys and throw lines;
• Dog lifejackets;

Majority of the products manufactured by us have proper Australian Accreditations and are covered with a Product Liability Insurance od $20 million. In addition, we do have a Management Liability Cover of $10 million.

Apart from manufacturing, SMA also distributes & sells numerous quality accessories  such as ACR EPIRB, ACE PBL,life jacket lights, life raft lights, strobe lights, hydrostatic release, co2 cylinfers,flares,life buoy rings,hand pumps,chemical light sticks, die markers,food and water rations, reflective tapes, stainless steel buckles and snap hooks & etc.

SMA believes in quality and is operating a Quality Management System (QMS) approved and audited by Australian Standards , the Marine Board of Victoria and CASA . Our QMS comply with AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000.
