ROARING FORTIES™ (Closed Cells Foam) PFD (Lifejacket) Type 2s
ROARING FORTIES™ ( RF ) PFDs are light in air & in water. Hence it is very comfortable to wear for longer periods . This PFD will provide a high & safe free float in water ( ie the vertical distance between the mouth & the surface of the water). Our PFDS will right a person in a safe inclined angle. By using a specialised uncoated warp knit polyester fabric, ROARING FORTIES™ PFDs (Type 1, 2 & 3) has very good permeability of water in and out of the fabric & thus providing stability in performance & consistency in buoyancy. Our fabric has a colour fastness to light reading of 4-5 on a Blue Wool Standard & colour fastness to seawater reading of 4-5 on a grey scale. With these inherent features, ROARING FORTIES™ PFDs perform much better than others when exposed to the above conditions. Apart from fungus resistant, Roaring Forties fabric is more resistant to chlorine attack than the average fabric. ROARING FORTIES™ PFDs use loose sheets of closed cell foam. This ensures ROARING FORTIES™ PFDs are soft, light, durable, dependable and very comfortable to wear over long periods. Also the soft touch is design to prevent serious injury when alighting a craft. ROARING FORTIES™ being outcome focus, also caters for larger sizes people & people with disabilities. PFD Type 2 is a vest type. It does not come with a collar & reflective tapes.It also does not have the same buoyancy as the PFD Type 1. PFDs Type 2 are best suited for canoeing, kayaking, rowing,dragon boating,wind surfing and inland boating activities where calm water conditions are expected. They are not suitable for white water rafting. NB PFDs (closed cell foam)Type 2 are not suitable for all water situations. After use, wash in warm soapy water & dry thoroughly. Then store it in a dry and well ventilated place away from sunlight & harmful chemical.

It has also a front pocket to store your very light weight essentials. Sizes: RB200 - Adults (40kg+): S-M, L-XL, XXL, XXXL, XXXXL Colours: Apart from the above colours, the binding,trim & webbing can come in Navy Blue or Peacock blue Applications: This PFD vest is suitable canoeing, rowing kayaking,dragon boating and inland boating activities.

This PFD in olive green colour( PFD Type 3) is also used by the Australian Commandos on their own hybrid system. Very light in weight with the front shorter than the back section.
