The GP 33 is a general purpose inflatable life preserver vest exceeding Australian Standards for PFD Type 1s. It is similar to the SMA 1060 inflatable PFD type 1s but has additional reinforcements for heavy duty use. For use by Australian Defense Force personnel. This 150 Newtons inflatable lifejacket is light and durable. Very comfortable to wear over prolong period. Will provide a soldier in full uniform with a free float of at least 90mm and hold them in an inclined postion with his/her face looking skywards. Economically friendly to service and repair. | ||
SMA 2158 |

The SMA2158 ( CASA approved) nflatable twin chamber jacket has a spray hood attached. This is popular with aviation pilots and their crews . Apart from commercial users, Australian Maritime Safety Authority Search and Rescue Wing personnel also prefers the use of this jacket. It is operated with 2 x 18gm CO2 cylinders and has a buoyancy of greater than 195 Newtons( 44lb or 19.95kg) after 24 hours. The lifejacket will take only 3 seconds to right a person to an altitude of at least 30 degrees to the vertical with mouth & nose well clear of the water.This jacket will provide good rear and lateral support and is stable in either direction. |

This 50A single chamber inflatable jacket is used by the RAAF and Indonesian NAVY and it has a NATO number . It operates with a 33gm CO2 disposable cylinder and has a buoyancy of >156 newtons( 16kg or 35lb). There is a water activated light attachment & also a lifting becket.. The lifejacket takes less than 5 seconds to right a person to a safe inclined position . It can be packed in a pouch or neck valise. A commercial version for this jacket is also available | ||

This 50N inflatable jacket is similar to the 50A above but with a spray hood attached and dual chamber. It is packed in a pouch and has the same buoyancy as that of the 50A above. It also meets SOLAS requirements. This jacket is similar to the one currently used by the Australian NAVY . |

SMA MK1: |

SMA MK1 has a buoyancy of 162 Newtons( 16.5kg or 36lb). The jacket will right a person to a safe position in less than 5 secondsThe yoke or bladder is made from Carrington High Performance fabric (UK). The bladder is welded by high radio frequency technology. Attached to the bladder has a HALKEY-ROBERTS (USA) mouth tube for oral inflation. It has 6 reflective tapes (REFLEXITE), or 3M reflective tapes. The yoke is housed in a strong red nylon fabric coated with PVC or a neoprene coated valise. The jackets' equipped with a lifting becket, light and whistle. It is operated with a 33grams CO2 cylinder from Japan. Operating Head available in either AUTO or MANUAL. Optional feature is the hood.

Army Assault Vest |

The Army Assault Vest is used by the Australian Commandos & Australian Special Forces and has an inflatable jacket within a closed cell foam personal floatation device (PFD)--- a Hybrid. The inflatable jacket has a buoyancy of > 156 newtons and the PFD( foam vest )has a buoyancy > 56 newtons. Even without inflating the life preserver, the foam PFD is able to support a soldier in full uniform to a safe position. This assault vest is used for covert operations. Bladder color is black and the valise can be olive green or black. Features include a light, 33gm CO2 cylinder, mouth tube, whistle and roll back reflective tape. See brochure here. |

This is a PFD Type 1 jacket with Australian Standards approval. It is currently used by the Malaysian Navy . The jacket is made from uncoated warp knit polyester fabric with a colour fastness to light & sea water of 6-7 on wool scale.The jacket is light in water and performs consistently in water . It has a buoyancy in excess of 156 Newtons and will right a person to safe inclined postion within 5 seconds.
